Before Step One.
This summer I will set off across the US from Pittsburgh, PA to Portland, OR. I know that there are still 6 months until this summer. It seems like a lot of time, but on the other hand this is a big trip at the end of which I will need to find a home and a job. At this point, I predict step one will be separating what I'm bringing, what I'm boxing up to ship later, and what I'm leaving behind. So I've got some time before I have to deal with step one. Though maybe step one was acquiring a road atlas (check)... or picking a destination (check)... or resolving to leave Pittsburgh (um, check?).
I'm setting up this blog as an account of my travels, so you can follow along with my adventures and not have your inbox overflowing with the lengthy emails I sent during some of my other journeys. It's a few days until 2006 ends, and it looks like 2007 will bring a lot of change. For better or worse, but most likely better... bring it on.
